About Us

Gribbles Pathology Malaysia commenced operations in late 1996 and is now the largest private provider of diagnostic laboratory services in the region. Headquartered in Petaling Jaya, we employ over 1,200 staff nationwide and have an established network of more than 60 electronically-linked pathology facilities throughout Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak.

Currently Gribbles Malaysia performs over 4 million patient episodes per year. We provide medical testing in all disciplines to over 10,000 Medical Practitioners, Hospitals and Corporate Clients.

Dr Christopher Ting


Group Chief Executive Officer
Dr Christopher worked as a clinician in Australia before becoming the CEO of Quest Laboratories and Innovative Diagnostics in Singapore. He is the founder of Quantum Diagnostics and is a key participant in Malaysia's National Key Economic Areas (NKEA) for Healthcare.

Dr Nelson Nheu


Chief Executive Officer
Dr Nelson Nheu has more than 6 years of clinical experience in the Australian private and public healthcare (mainly in ER & ICU), 6 years of managerial experience in healthcare (running labs and medical app companies) and over 10 years of investment and managerial experience in various other industries. He is passionate about quality and best practices in healthcare, particularly in the digitalization of an otherwise traditional industry.

Choo Kok Ming


Chief Operating Officer
Mr Kok Ming is the Chief Operating Officer for Gribbles Pathology and Quantum Diagnostics. Prior to this role, he was the Chief of Staff to the Group Chief Executive Officer of Pathology Asia Holdings. He used to serve as the Director of Customer Experience responsible for allied healthcare services at Timberland Medical Centre in Kuching, Sarawak. His other experiences includes a role as a Strategy Analyst at Accenture.

Dr Thuhairah Hasrah Abdul Rahman

Laboratory Director & Consultant Chemical Pathologist
- Serves as a Visiting Consultant Chemical Pathologist at Gribbles Pathology and is a Consultant Chemical Pathologist at the Clinical Diagnostics Laboratory, Hospital Universiti Teknologi MARA.
- Has had over 10 years’ experience in Chemical Pathology and has served the laboratory as a Quality Manager between 2012 and 2019.
- Also a Technical Assessor of the MS ISO 15189 accreditation for STANDARDS Malaysia and is a member of the Laboratory Accreditation Evaluation Panel (LAEP) for STANDARDS.
- Has an extensive research portfolio and currently collaborates with Gribbles Pathology to carry out research in laboratory quality assurance.

- Special interests in oncopathology of colorectal, prostate, lymphomas, breast and gynaecology and application of immunohistochemistry in diagnostics

Dr Manoharan Madhavan

- 31 years of experience in surgical pathology; with special interest in gastrointestinal pathology, female genital pathology, tropical pathology and neuropathology
- Trained and earned Masters Degree in Pathology from JIPMER, one of the prestigious post graduate medical institutions run by the central government of India
- Worked as a Professor of Pathology in various academic institutions for 23 years

Datin Dr Ganeswarie Rajasekaram

Consultant Microbiologist
- She has served as Clinical Microbiologist and Head of Infection Control in Hospital Sultanah Aminah, and state of Johor for 20 years.
- Contributed to development of guidelines for Tuberculosis and Infection Control at the National level.
- She has a subspecialty in Mycobacteriology and keen interest in Molecular biology and antibiotic resistance having held key position in Antibiotic Stewardship programs at the hospital level.
- Currently hold the position of Associate Professor of Medical Microbiology in Monash University, Malaysia.
- Has more than 40 publications at National and International peer reviewed Scientific journals.
